This would likely increase to more alarming levels if the city's traffic woes are not effectively dealt with.

"People on average spend 1.34 hours on the road each day," Move In Sync co-founder and CEO Deepesh Agarwal said.

After strenuous data collection on traffic congestion between February and June, the organization chose 11 areas.

"Our analysis showed that Bannerghatta, Domlur Embassy Golf Links area, Ecoworld, Electronic City, Bellandur, Doddanekkundi, Manyata Tech Park, Prestige Tech Park in Sarjapura, Yashwantpur WTC and Whitefield witness heavy traffic congestion," Agarwal said.

Those working in companies around Sarjapur and Outer Ring Road's Prestige Tech park spend about 43 minutes for two-way travel, the lowest when compared to other areas.

Similarly, employees in companies at Tech Park on ORR and Doddanekkundi spend more time on Sundays. "Those travelling to Manyata Tech Park, EJL in Domlur and Yashwantpur WTC spend the same amount of time all days," he said.
