Sharan is back and one better be ready for some unlimited ‘masti’ and fun. ‘Bullet Basya’, Sharan’s current project, is certain to send his fans into a rapturous delight. “My character may appear to be a little loud and exaggerated but this is exactly what holds the story together. We have added a lot of funny elements to the film to keep the entertainment factor running high,” he states.

Sharan is a popular comedian in the Kannada film industry and is also known to try out different kinds of comedy. “It’s not easy to make people laugh. Sometimes, a bad presentation of a comic situation could turn people off. The story revolves around a character called Basya and who is called ‘Bullet Basya’ because he moves around on a bullet. People identify him with the bullet,” he shares.

The director, Jayateertha, worked with Sharan for a few months on perfecting his look for the role. “We tried out a couple of looks and finally zeroed in on one with a moustache. This suited the role and helped me get under the skin of character pretty fast,” he adds.

Sharan feels that this movie is special in a lot of ways. “To start with, the subject is unique and perfectly suits the present-day situations. The narration is humourous and offers plenty of light moments but the movie conveys a strong message,” he notes.

He is simultaneously working on another film called, ‘Maruthi 800’. “The film is still in the scripting stage and that’s why I can’t give out too many details,” he adds.
