The victim Munilakshmamma (40), a resident of Manjunathnagar slum was found with multiple stab injuries near a bakery in Nagashetty Halli. Munilakshmamma has three sons. After the death of her husband she had married Muniyappa.
Woman sets herself ablaze
A 60-year-old woman doused herself in kerosene and set ablaze at her Cauverypuram residence in Kamakshipalya on Wednesday.
According to the police, Savitramma was treated for mental illness. Neighbours saw thick smoke coming out of her house and after they forcibly opened the door they saw her in flames.
Attempt to murder
Four persons are said to have attempted to murder a 30-year-old man in Valmikinagar on Wednesday. The injured Mukkrum was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and is stated to be out of danger.
Ayub, Munna, Karib and Arif came to Mukkrum’s house. Mukkrum objected to them creating noise outside his house. As the argument ensued the suspects stabbed Mukkrum on his chest and fled.
