Former minister M B Patil said on Tuesday that North Karnataka required more development and that he would not allow “injustice” to be meted out to the region.
Patil, who had demanded that he be made the deputy chief minister as it would ensure proper representation of North Karnataka in the Congress-JD(S) coalition, dismissed the demand for separate statehood to North Karnataka.
“North and South Karnataka are like one's two eyes. But everybody agrees with the sentiment that North Karnataka needs more development,” he told reporters.
