Bengaluru: To promote sustainable transportation and foster greener cities, the Police Department observed World Public Transport Day on Sunday with an event at the BMTC bus stand in Majestic.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda and Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) MN Anucheth, along with other senior officers, participated in the event by handing out roses to the public and travelling by metro to encourage eco-friendly commuting.

The officers engaged with the public, offering essential advice on the benefits of using public transportation.

As part of the initiative, posters with “Learn Kannada” messages were distributed to auto drivers, promoting inclusivity and strengthening cultural connections with passengers.
