After three days of Ganesha Chaturthi celebrations, Yediyur Lake, which received the idols for immersion in South Bengaluru, has reached its maximum capacity.

In order to facilitate further immersions, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will temporarily close the lake starting this Saturday.

According to a statement from the BBMP, the lake will undergo a cleaning process to remove both idols and mud, and it will subsequently reopen for immersion activities until October 2.
