The much-awaited ‘Parva’, a seven-and-a-half-hour play, based on the novel penned by writer S L Bhyrappa, a mega-production of Rangayana-Mysuru, received a good response on Day One, on Friday.
Launching the play at Kalamandira here, Bhyrappa said that the play is well-directed and the artistes are giving their best.
Film director P Seshadri said, “Adapting Parva novel into theatre was a typical attempt. Creating literary works into other medium is a good sign.”
The special show of the play, directed by Prakash Belavadi, will be staged on March 13 and 14 at Kalamandira at 10 am.
