Close shave for 32 passengers as bus catches fire

About 32 passengers were safely evacuated from a private bus during wee hours of Saturday after it caught fire due to the electric short circuit in the battery.
The bus was heading to Vijayapura from Bengaluru when the incident occurred at Gunnal cross, Yelaburga taluk, in Koppal district.
The driver spotted flames and suddenly halted the bus. The driver and the staff safely deboarded passengers and also shifted their luggage and baggage.
On being alerted, the fire force personnel from Kushtagi rushed and doused the fire.
The bus was mostly charred in the incident.
