According to the CLAT website the institute wise merit list will be announced on Sunday.
Under the Under Graduate provisional list, Pragya Vats has secured the first rank with a score of 165 followed by Yelamanchili Shiva Santosh Kumar from Andhra Pradesh with a score of 164 and Anish Alok Mohanty with a score 163.
The website also stated that the offer of admission by the CLAT 2010 is provisional and does not create any right to admission in favour of the candidate.
“Candidates provisionally allotted to a particular National Law University based on merit-cum-preference have to confirm their willingness to take admission in the allotted University by depositing (Deposit Proforma) a sum of Rs 25,000, non refundable but adjustable in the fee payable at the time of admission, with any specified core branch of the State Bank of India account number 30996486741 latest by June 8, 2010,'' it stated.
If the sum of Rs 25,000 is not deposited by the given date, it will be treated that the candidate is not interested and the admission will be cancelled. The seat will be allotted to the next candidate in order of merit-cum-preference.
The allotment of the University is subject to revision to a University of candidate's higher preference depending on the vacancies that may arise. Preference given by the candidates in the application form is final and will not be changed. No candidate will be permitted to move to a University of lower preference under any circumstances, whatsoever, said the website.
The list of wait-listed candidates will be announced as soon as the number of vacant seats is finalised by CLAT 2010. The waitlisted candidates are required to pay the full fee and complete the admission formalities on or before the date(s) specified by CLAT 2010. Once the admissions are closed by the CLAT 2010, no one will be admitted even if a seat remains vacant.
Under no circumstances will a change of University be allowed after a candidate is admitted to a University. Expected dates of completion of admission at the allotted University would be between June 28 and 30.
