Coffee, pepper vines gutted in fire

An accidental fire gutted coffee plants and pepper vines on 1.30 acres of land at Kyathanahalli in Aluru Siddapura.

The farmland is owned by K S Nagaraj. About 80% of the crops have been gutted.

The fire service personnel from Somwarpet rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

Nagaraj in his complaint to Shanivarasanthe station said that he was fetching an income of Rs 5 lakh from the crops.
