Senior Congress leader K N Rajanna has been slapped with a show-cause notice for his “embarrassing” remarks on Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.
Rajanna, a former legislator, is in the dock this time for referring to Kumaraswamy as a “thief” over the controversial audio clip and for criticising the Congress’ alliance with the JD(S).
“In the past, too, you have made similar statements despite warnings,” Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) general secretary Haji Shafiullah stated in the notice to Rajanna on Tuesday. “This anti-party behaviour of yours has been viewed seriously.” Rajanna has been given three days to explain why the party should not take disciplinary action against him.
