Covid-19 death toll crosses 10,000-mark in Karnataka with 70 new fatalities; state reports 7,606 fresh cases

Karnataka reported 7,606 new Covid-19 cases, 12,030 discharges and 70 deaths on Monday.

Total cases in the state rose to 7,17,915, recoveries to 5,92,084 and death toll to 10,036. Active cases stand at 1,15,776.

Out of the fresh cases, 3,498 were from Bengaluru Urban alone. A total of 928 patients are in the Intensive Care Units across the state. Bengaluru Urban accounted for 18 deaths on Monday. Belagavi reported 444 fresh cases, Udupi 317, Mysuru 309, and Dakshina Kannada 303.

A total of over 60,30,980 samples have been tested so far, out of which 78,757 were tested on Monday alone. Of them, 23,564 were rapid antigen tests.
