It was said that the gas cylinder burst in a canteen next to the pumphouse. As many as 129 houses are being constructed in 6.5 acre land near Padupanambur Gram Panchayat limits.
Of which, 20 houses have already been constructed. A water tank with a capacity of 50,000 litre was constructed to supply water to these houses. One Ramu was running a canteen near the pumphouse.
As water tank is situated above the pumphouse, the pillars have developed cracks following the explosion. A case has been registered.
