Speaking to reporters at Hubballi Airport on Wednesday before leaving for Shiggaon to campaign for Congress candidate, Shivakumar said, “Leader of the Opposition  Ashoka, himself being in a Constitutional post, has disgraced the another constitutional body and courts by calling Lokayukta probe against CM a match-fixing.”

‘Created by Constitution’

“Lokayukta was not created by any political party for its benefit. It was created by the Constitution. Hence I demand Lokayukta to take action against Ashoka,” he demanded.

“Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has respected and abided by the law by appearing before the Lokayukta in connection with the MUDA site allotment issue. He has replied to all queries raised by the probe agency. Here is a CM who appeared before the Lokayukta despite committing no wrong. We should be proud of him,” Shivakumar said.
