He was speaking at the Infertility and Gynaecology check-up camp and Scanning Camp organised in Chikkaballapur on Sunday.
The camp was organised under the ‘Healthy Women-Strong Society Campaign’ launched jointly by Adi Chunchanagiri Branch Mutt (Chikkaballapur), Dr Ramesh Hospital and Lions Club.
Ramesh said that camp was being organised in rural areas to create awareness about various diseases and to showcase latest technology which would help in detecting the diseases. He said that people would be treated free cost in the camp.
Adi Chunchanagiri Branch Mutt (Chikkaballapur) Seer Nirmalananda Swamiji said that good health was imperative for humans to achieve their goals.
People by taking good care of their health will be able to serve society better, he added.
Nirmalananda Swamiji said that diseased people were a burden on society and country.
500 women treated
Lions Club’s Dr K P Srinivasmurthy suggested rural women to make use of the free health check-up camps as it was being held at their doorstep and was free of cost.More than 500 women were treated in the camp.
Dr Ramesh Hospital’s Administrative Medical Officer Shobha Ramesh, SJC Technical Institute’s Principal Dr T Munikenche Gowda, Lecturer Dr Gyanendra Reddy, Lions Club Regional president K H Venkatappa, taluk-unit president B K Umesh, Secretary Dr Mahesh, Treasurer Mohan Kumar, Bhadrachalam, Educationist Prof N Shivarama Reddy and others were present on the occasion.
