Senior writer S Diwakar releases DVG global literary series first work “Samskriti” in Mangaluru on Sunday.

DVG Balaga Prathishtana has decided to translate D V Gundappa’s literary works into English. DVG global literary series-1’s first work ‘Samskriti’ was released on Sunday.

Samskriti has been translated into English by Prof L S Sheshagiri and was released by senior writer S Diwakar in Mangaluru on Sunday.

He said, “DVG is known to Kannadigas through his Mankuthimmana Kagga. However, he was also involved in journalism and in the social service field as well. He had written articles that inspired Sardar Vallabhabai Patel on the unification of princely states.”

Prof L S Sheshagiri Rao had translated many works into English in the past. Unfortunately, it was not published. Now, DVG Balaga Prathishtana members through DVG global literary series is making an effort to spread the works of one of the greatest Kannada writer to the world,” said writer and translator Narasimha Bhat.
