The Kannada film industry has expressed shock and betrayal over the verdict. But it feels that even the late actor would have forgiven the accused.
“If Rajkumar was alive today, he would have forgiven the accused and helped them get a new life. That is Rajkumar for us. But personally, I feel the investigation team should have done better work. With due respect to the court, I sadly accept the order. The 18 years of imprisonment may have helped them realise their mistake. Let Rajkumar’s principles influence them, so that they can lead their life in a better way,” former Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce president Sa Ra Govindu told DH.
