Swamy (35) was found hanging from a tree in a farmland while his wife Vasantha (28) was found hanging from the ceiling of their house. The couple leave their son and two daughters. It is learnt the couple were dependent on sericulture for their livelihood and they had incurred debts they could not repay due to the crash in cocoon price.
