The protest being staged in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office will be continued till the government drops the land acquisition process, said the farmers.
The farmers alleged that around 24 acres of land has been acquired to develop four lane road, even though it is not necessary. The farmers demanded the government to immediately stop the process and return the land to them. The indefinite protest would continue till their demands are met, they clarified
