Gadag: A family of four which was heading to a temple perished in a road accident on Konnur-Nargund Road on Sunday morning.
The deceased are Rudrappa Babanna Angadi (58), his wife Rajeshwari (50), their daughter Ishwarya (18) and son Vijayakumar (14), all residents of Haveri.
The accident occurred after the car they were travelling by reportedly crashed into a KSRTC bus coming from the opposite side. Rudrappa was driving the car. The family was on its way to Basavanna temple at Kallapura near Konnur. While Rudrappa and the two children died on the spot, Rajeshwari died on the way to hospital. Nargund police have registered a case.
