In a press note, she has stated that certain sections of society are misinformed regarding the ownership of the both. Hence they have issued this clarification and they urge sections of the public, media and youtubers to refrain from perpetuating any further misinformation regarding them, without verifying the facts

She has clarified, "As the rightful owner, the custody, usage and safekeeping of both has been and continues to be our responsibility. Any claims or suggestions to the contrary are unfounded and misrepresentation of facts," Pramodadevi has stressed.

She has further stated, "It is also observed that few among the trading and manufacturing community venture into using the Howdah along with their products for the sake of promotion. Howdah and the Throne are objects of immense significance and reverence. Therefore, these objects should not be used for any kind of advertisement or promotional activities," Pramodadevi has urged.
