The scheme is being implemented to guarantee surety to those losses occurring due to the incidents which the human beings cannot prevent.

Compensation will be given for the losses on the basis of the climatic conditions like rain, moisture, disease, etc.

The insurance cover is given to such crops designated for a specific hobli. The details are as follows:

Ambale hobli of Chikmagalur taluk- ragi, jowar, ground nut, potato; Kasaba- ragi and potato; Lakya- ragi, sunflower, green chilly.

Hirenallur hobli of Kadur taluk- jowar, ragi, moong dal, sunflower, ground nut, green chilly, onion; Kasaba- jowar, ragi, sunflower, ground nut, moon dal, cotton.

Ajjampur hobli of Tarikere taluk- jowar, ragi, sunflower, ground nut, green chilly, onion; Amritapura hobli- jowar, ragi, ground nut, green chilly, onion; Lingadahalli- jowar, ragi, ground nut, cotton, green chilly, onion, potato; Shivani- ragi, jowar, sunflower, ground nut, green chilly, onion; Kasaba- ragi, jowar and onion.
