‘Violation of protocol’

Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel said that the Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has violated the protocol by not inviting local people’s representatives and the District-in-Charge Minister for the inaugural of the third phase of their plant.

“Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals Limited , which plays with the life of local residents, has organised the programme secretly violating the protocol. Neither MP nor MLA and District-in-Charge Minister were given invitation for the function, where a central minister was the chief guest. Officials of MRPL should clarify as to why people’s representatives were not invited for the function,” he said adding that he would write to the Union Petroleum Ministry in this regard.
