The state government will soon launch a special action plan aimed at stopping the migration of drought-affected people in-search of livelihood to other states.
Speaking at Madhabhavi tanda in Vijayapura taluk on Tuesday, the chief minister said that it was very “painful” that people had to migrate to other places in search of livelihood and a permanent solution should be found for the problem.
Kumaraswamy said that he would give a concrete shape to the plan to address the issue and launch the project on an pilot project in Madhabhavi tanda .
The chief minister visited the Tanda on to console the family members of those who had died in a road accident in Maharashtra state early this year. All the victims were travelling in search of their livelihood.
