The JD(S) on Tuesday released its list of 40 star campaigners for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Interestingly, 10 among these belong to the first family of the regional party.
This includes JD(S) patriarch H D Deve Gowda and his grandsons Prajwal Revanna and Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
The trio are contesting from Tumkur, Hassan and Mandya Lok Sabha constituencies, respectively.
While Gowda and his son and Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will lead the campaigns across the state; they will be joined by the latter's cabinet colleagues, party MLAs, MLCs, MPs, former legislators and party functionaries.
Since it's a family affair, the list includes the names of PWD Minister H D Revanna, his wife Bhavani Revanna, and their son Suraj Revanna.
Bhavani and Suraj had begun campaigning on behalf of Prajwal, much before his candidature was officially announced by Gowda.
While Kumaraswamy himself has been campaigning for his son Nikhil in Mandya, the actor, will also be joined by his mother and Ramanagar MLA Anitha Kumaraswamy here onward.
The list also includes the names of Gowda's relatives, D C Thammanna and Prof K S Rangappa.
While Thammanna is the Transport minister in Kumaraswamy's cabinet, Rangappa had unsuccessfully contested the 2018 Assembly elections from the Chamaraja constituency in Mysuru.
