GP elections in Gonikoppa, Ponnampet on March 29

Elections will be held for Ponnampet and Gonikoppa Gram Panchayats on Monday.

Members will be elected for 21 seats in eight wards of Gonikoppa and for 20 seats in six wards of Ponnampet.

A total of 52 candidates are in the fray in Gonikoppa, while 51 people have filed their candidature in Ponnampet.

Candidates carried out brisk campaigning on the last day of the campaigning on Sunday and sought votes from people by conducting door-to-door visits.
