The project which is estimated to cost Rs 22.6 crore is handed over to Hyderabad Ramky Infrastructure. The Deputy Commissioner  handed over the work order to the Company’s representative at his office. He asked them to complete the work in time and to ensure quality.

M Prakash, CMC president said the project which was in cold storage for many years, has been finally taken up and will be completed at the earliest. In the first phase, construction of  treatment plant will be taken up at the Gopalakrishna lake. The government intends to  treat the sewage at the plant  and supply the water to farmers and to International Airport. Government planned to use the water for maintaining the park in International Airport, he added.

“The work will be commenced from Wednesday.  The unit will be constructed in 8 acre out of the 25 acre allotted for the construction of treatment, plant. Jakkalamadagu project which intends to supply water to the city will also be completed shortly,” he said.

CMC  members C M Chikkappaiah, P Nagarajaiah, Nirmalaprabhu, Ravikumar, Srinath, Bhaskar, Jayamma, A V Bhaire Gowda, Manjula Krishnappa and others were present.
