A government higher primary school teacher at Badigwad village in Gokak taluk, Belagavi district, reportedly forced his students to clean toilets, utensils and his motorcycle.
A video that shows Jaipal Bhajantri, the headmaster, forcing the students to do these works has gone viral on social media in the district. It is said that a few local residents shot the video.
As villagers strongly objected Bhajantri's act, Ajit Mannikeri, the Deputy Director of Public Instruction (in-charge), Chikkodi Educational District, directed Block Education Officer A C Gangadhar to conduct an enquiry and submit a report.
"The enquiry confirms that the headmaster forced students to clean toilets and his motorcycle. A report will be submitted to the DDPI for action," Gangadhar told DH.
