Good roads are just a dream  for the residents of Narasimharajapura taluk as most of them in a pathetic state.

Be it main road or bylanes, they are dotted with potholes. The storm water drains are in a poor condition.

Narasimharajapura taluk has 58 revenue villages. 

The road leading to Muluvalli has been asphalted for few metres. The road is not motorable and is causing severe inconvenience to the public. They are not fit for motor vehicles, complain villegesrs.

Owing to lack of road connectivity to Neralekoppa in Kadahina Bailu GP, the people are put to hardship during monsoon.

The roads leading to Honnekudige, Handoor and Koosagal are in deplorable condition and has not seen asphaltation for the last several years.  Since there has not been a sincere effort to repair this road, it has been taking toll on the commuters.

The road from Hanthuvani to Maridibba has not seen asphalted for the last several years. The surface of the road has been chipped off. The road connecting Moodabagilu Varkatte, Sirigalale will be filled with slush during monsoon.

There is no proper connectivity to Makkimane to Alehalli.

As gravel has been dumped on the road from Ravoor-Lingapura, vehicles can not ply on it.

Dasanagadde road has not seen asphlatation for the last several years. Road leading to Kusubooru, Dundiburj, Marati camp, Aldara, Bairapura, Kusubooru colonies have been spoilt to the extent that there are only gravels and muck for road.

Kanoor, Kattinamane, Sathkoli, Nagaramakki, Kamalapura, Kuduregundi, Kallikoppa, Menasoor roads are in good condition.

Sources in the department said that 61 roads were laid at an estimated cost of Rs 18.36 lakh under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme during 2011-12. A sum of Rs 98.93 lakh has been earmarked for the roads during 2012-13.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, MLA D N Jeevaraj said the pothole filled roads will be identified in the taluk and measures will be taken to repair it.

Villagers say that “the government releases meagre amount for taking up the work on road. The cost of materials required for laying a road has been increased. With the meagre amount, it is highly impossible to carry out quality work.”
