Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Rajya Sabha member Prabhakar Kore has said that he is an aspirant to contest the Lok Sabha election from Chikkodi constituency.
Speaking to reporters, Kore, however, said it is for the party to decide about the candidates. “My son Amit too is an aspirant to contest from the same constituency,” he added.
Referring to MLA Laxmi Hebbalkar’s statement that a woman leader of BJP had offered her Cabinet berth and Rs 30 crore to defect to the party, Kore said she should make the name of that woman leader public, release audio recordings and SMSes sent to
her.
He charged that the Congress-JD(S) government in the state has failed and its leaders have resorted to attention diversion tactics.
