Purandeswari inaugurated the celebrations by offering her prayers at the Srikakuala Andhra Mahavishnu temple.
At the function held on this occasion, speakers lauded the role of Srikrishnadevaraya, who successfully ruled Vijayanagar kingdom for 20 years and received appreciation from people belonging to all walks of life.
The three-day celebrations have been organised jointly by state ministry of Cultural Affairs, state Council of Culture, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam and district administration.
