Koratagere (Tumakuru district): The Koratagere police have booked four persons, including the KSRTC traffic controller and contractor, for allegedly employing two persons, including a 14-year-old boy from Dalit community, to clean a clogged manhole at the KSRTC bus stand in the town.

The video of the two persons, including a boy, unclogging an old manhole in the bus stand had gone viral on social media.

Following the incident, Tumakuru DC Subha Kalyan, Social Welfare Joint Director Krishnappa and taluk officials visited the spot. A fact-finding committee under Madhugiri assistant commissioner and Koratagere tahsildar was constituted to look into the matter.

Following a complaint by tahsildar, the Koratagere police have booked the Koratagere KSRTC traffic controller and contractors Nitish and Kumar of the Mandya-based Sri Nimishamba Enterprises under the relevant Act.
