The BJP will launch a helpline to aid all its workers who face a threat of false cases being lodged against them by the Congress government in Karnataka, the party’s national Yuva Morcha president Tejasvi Surya said on Saturday.

Speaking to reporters here after a meeting of the BJP’s legal cell in which more than 50 lawyers took part, Surya said the party has decided to launch the helpline as the Congress had already begun targeting BJP and RSS workers on “flimsy” grounds. He cited the recent instance of an RSS worker being arrested in Raichur.
“By making statements against ‘saffronisation’ and ‘moral policing’, some ministers have already set the stage for targeting BJP and RSS workers. We have seen such a pattern during the previous Congress government, too,” Surya charged. The helpline will work for the protection of the workers round-the-clock. At any time, if a worker seeks help, someone from the team of lawyers will aid them, Surya said.
