Had JD(S) not joined BJP, they would not have won even a single seat in the Assembly election. Only empty vessels make noise. Hence, they are talking what they want," he said.

On Kumarswamy comparing Siddaramaiah to all the villains of Mahabharatha, CM said, "If there is a big political villain, it is Mr H D Kumarswamy," he said.

On Kumaswamy's remark that Siddaramaiah doesn't accept that Congress-JD(S) government collapsed because of him, he said, "HDK even commented about me watching cricket in the stadium. He was in US for a week, when Congress-JD(S) government was collapsing. He spent his entire 14 months months as CM at Taj West End and didn't meet MLAs. What should say to that? What did he say during the no-confidence motion? He stated that it was BJP which toppled the government and they are responsible for it. It is on the Assembly record. I can release that. If he gives a different version of it, what does that say? Did he mislead the Assembly then?," he questioned.

About Kumarswamy's barrage of attacks on him, Siddaramaiah said, "Only those who are politically frustrated, speak like this. Had JD(S) not joined BJP, they would not have won even a single seat in the Assembly election. Only empty vessels make noise. Hence, they are talking what they want," he said.
