Bengaluru: The Karnataka Lokayukta on Thursday launched simultaneous raids on the properties of four government officials across three districts. The operation, which is part of investigations into disproportionate assets cases, involves searches at 25 locations linked to these officials.
According to Lokayukta sources, the raids are underway in Bengaluru, Mandya, and Chikkaballapur.
The officials are conducting checks at the properties of Krishnaveni M C, a senior geologist, Mines and Geology Department; Mahesh, Managing Director of Kaveri Neeravari Nigama's Surface Water Data Center; N K Thippeswamy, Director of Town and Country Planning; and Mohan K, Excise Superintendent at the office of the Joint Commissioner of Excise.
Lokayukta officials are thoroughly examining documents, assets, cash, and other valuables belonging to the government officials involved.
This marks the second major operation by the anti-corruption watchdog in the last 10 days. On November 12, the Lokayukta raided properties belonging to eight government officials, uncovering disproportionate assets valued at Rs 22.5 crore.
