A 35-year-old man was killed by a lightning strike at Pandavarakallu in Badaga Kajekar of Bantwal taluk on late Monday evening.
The deceased is Lokesh, a labourer. He had availed leave on Monday and was at home.
Lightning struck him while he was sleeping in the house.
A case has been registered at Poonjalkatte police station.
