Monsoon weakened across Kodagu on Wednesday, with the district receiving average of 35.36 mm rain.

The district last year had recorded 55.49 mm during the corresponding period. From January till date, Kodagu has received 623.14 mm rain against 995.21 mm last year.

Madikeri taluk has received an average of 46.10 mm rain in the last 24 hours followed by Virajpet—36.5 mm and Somwarpet—23.93 mm.

In hoblis

Rainfall in other hoblis are as follows; Madikeri kasaba—3.80 mm, Napoklu—39.40 mm, Sampaje—11 mm, Bhagamandala—130 mm, Virajpet kasaba—12.60 mm, Hudikeri—61.20 mm, Srinmangala—63 mm, Ponnampet—18.40 mm, Ammathi—24.10 mm, Balele—37 mm, Somwarpet kasaba—15 mm, Shanivarasanthe—28.20 mm, Shanthalli—78.40 mm, Kodlipete—19 mm.

Water-level

The water-level in Harangi reservoir stood at 2817.38 feet. Last year, it was 2,855.94 feet. The inflow of water was 1,331 cusecs.
