Amid the MUDA row, Parvathi on Monday appealed to the MUDA commissioner to take back the 14 sites. The process to take the sites back began as the commissioner received Parvathi's letter through her son MLC Dr Yathindra on Tuesday.

Confirming this to DH, Raghunandan said the Additional Sub-Registrar's office on MUDA premises will take the necessary steps.

Parvathi was allotted the 14 alternative sites in Vijayanagar III and IV Stages in Mysuru as MUDA allegedly used her 3.16 acres of land on survey number 464 of Kesare village in Mysuru taluk without acquiring it.

Raghunandan said, "After we received Parvathi's letter, we examined the legal provisions and sought legal advice from experts to check if those sites can be taken back. We found that it was possible. Hence, I passed the order to take those sites back."

In the wake of various developments, Parvathi had voluntarily taken the decision to return the sites, according to the press statement released by her on Monday night.

According to sources, MUDA secretary and Sub-Registrar of the Additional Sub-Registrar's Office in MUDA availed Parvathi's signature at her Mysuru residence for taking back the 14 sites on Tuesday afternoon.

Sub-Registrar of the Additional Sub-Registrar's Office V Rukmini confirmed DH that she has taken all necessary signatures from Paravathi. They will complete the process and release documents on Thursday, she said.

The Lokayukta police are investigating the case, based on an FIR filed against Siddaramaiah and others in the case. The Lokayukta police on on September 27 filed an FIR against Siddaramaiah, his wife, brother-in-law Mallikarjuna Swamy and J Devaraju, who sold the land to Swamy
