N R Pura to get Rs 5 cr from SKDRDP for dairying

Addressing a news conference on Saturday, Sri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Programme District Director Jayaram Nellithaya said that a total of 1,160 SHGs have been formed with 9,500 members and over the last three years, a total of Rs 12 crore has been disbursed as loan. The groups have saved about Rs 1 crore. He informed that over 250 families are being motivated to take up apiculture.

Apart from this, he said that mini krishi mela will be held in N R Pura. De-addiction camp will be held in December in Taluk centre for 50 persons.

He said that Gubbiga village has been selected as a village which will be transformed into Organic Farming Village within next 5 years.
