Any work that is done with dedication is itself patriotism, said Mangalore University Vice Chancellor Dr P S Yadapadithaya.

He was speaking after felicitating NCC cadets Indrajith of second-year BBA and Yashaswi C T of second-year BSc at Field Marshal K M Cariappa College, who had taken part in the Republic Day Parade in Delhi recently.

“Serving in armed forces and actively engaging in politics are not alone serving the nation. Any work that is carried out with utmost dedication and professionalism is also patriotism,” he said.

The NCC inculcates discipline and unity, he added.

“Our attitude and the way we think also play a vital role in the personality development of an individual. We should develop a positive attitude in life to attain success,” he said.

The NCC cadets shared their experience. Principal Dr Chowreera Jagat Thimmaiah and others were present.
