Nitte (Deemed to be) University has been ranked 70th among the 900+ universities in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) that was released by the Ministry for Human Resources Development, Government of India.
The University has climbed seven places from last year and this is the third successive year it finds itself among the top 100 universities of the nation.
The National Institutional Ranking Framework was launched in 2015 by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development to rank higher educational institutions based on objective criteria. The rankings consider parameters like teaching-learning resources, research productivity, student outcomes, outreach, inclusivity and peer perception.
Nitte University is in the Top 25 in the teaching-learning resources parameters and in Top 15 in the outreach and inclusivity parameters.
The Nitte Gulabi Shetty Memorial Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (NGMIPS), one of the constituent colleges of Nitte University, is ranked 33rd in the discipline of Pharmacy among 301 participating institutions. This is the third successive year in which NGMIPS has been ranked in the Top 30 Pharmacy colleges of the country.
NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte, is 128th in Engineering and Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Yelahanka, Bengaluru, is ranked 142 by NIRF among 969 participating Institutions.
