Claiming that he has emerged successful from the Agniparkishe (trial by fire) so far, Yeddyurappa said ‘no one’ need to have any doubts on his tenure as chief minister. “I am quite safe and secure. None can unseat me for the remaining two and half years. People trying to dethrone me will themselves be exhausted of their attempts,” he said.
Seeking to put the blame on the JD(S) for shifting loyalties of legislators, the chief minister said it was H D Kumaraswamy who sowed the seeds of defections by keeping BJP legislators at resorts. He suggested JD(S) to ‘mend itself’ and behave as a responsible Opposition.
