The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched a portal to enable residents to download ‘e-aadhaar’ documents from the UIDAI website.
Also, common service centres have been set up to cater to the needs of online applicants.
The facility is aimed at communicating the Aadhaar numbers in cases where the cards have not been able to reach the applicants due to various reasons. The e-aadhaar will be treated as a valid document as it is digitally certified.
Online appointments
The UIDAI has also started giving online appointments for working professionals who are hard pressed for time. They can log on to www.ceguid.karnataka.gov.in, fix appointments, besides choose centre, date and time based on their convenience.
