“Facilities of the government should reach grass root levels. The different developmental projects should be known to the Zilla and Gram Panchayats,” opined MLA Yogish Bhat on the occasion.
Meanwhile, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel who opened the meeting hall said that only if government officials have will power, they can implement projects.
The new hall constructed at a cost of Rs 209.69 lakhs, is spread over 17,086 square feet and consists of three floors. Having a seating capacity for more than 350 people, the hall is fully equipped with sound and light facilities. Having separate restrooms for men and women, it is also user-friendly for physically handicapped with separate entrances and restrooms.
A wide stage, projectors, a U-shaped table for officials who document the proceedings, separate seating for media representatives, mini meeting hall of 780 square feet and 45 seating capacity and sufficient parking are the other main features of this hall. There are plans to install air conditioning to this hall too.
DK District Zilla Panchayat President K Santosh Kumar Bhandary, Bantwal MLA Ramanath Rai, MCC Mayor Rajani Duganna, DK District Zilla Panchayat Vice President Jaganath Salian, Deputy Mayor Rajendra were the other dignitaries present.
