Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy was disgruntled with the opposition’s cheap propaganda aimed at defaming the coalition government. He quipped that BJP was dreaming about the debacle of JD(S) and Congress coalition government.
Addressing a huge election campaign rally at Trasi for the forthcoming Shimoga by-elections on Tuesday, Kumaraswamy accused BJP leaders of resorting to various tactics to defame the coalition government. “Sadly, they are ignorant of the fact that coalition government is here to complete its full term with the support of people.”
He said that the people in coastal districts are being misled in the name of “Dharma.”
The chief minister urged the public not to get involved in the communal politics of BJP which was following a divide and rule policey.
He said if there was any harm to Hindu religion, he along with the public will be in forefront to save the “Dharma.”
“The communal divide is absolutely disgusting. From Ullal to Karwar, the BJP is all set to make the area a hotbed for communal violence,” he alleged.
He said the coalition government intends to initiate stringent measures against the communal hate unleashed by the BJP. The by-election results will be a decisive factor in the political scenario.
Kumaraswamy asserted that the state government was for the poor. He said the voters will surely support the coalition candidate in the region. “The government will make all efforts to solve problems of the fishermen.”
Taking a dig at BJP leaders B S Yeddyurappa and his son B Y Raghavendra, chief minister accused the father and the son of not raising the issues connected to public. “They never raised any questions in Lok Sabha about the problems suffered by the people of the region.”
Kumaraswamy said that the state government was committed to ensure better educational and basic infrastructural facilities to the children of the fishermen. Elaborating over the various schemes offered by the government, Kumaraswamy said that the government had promised a interest-free loan of Rs 1,000 to Rs 10,000 to petty shop owners and street vendors through mobile banking.
