A complaint has been filed with the Lokayukta police against Union Law Minister D V Sadananda Gowda and others pertaining to the grant of 10 acres of gomala to the Mythic Society when DVS was the Chief Minister.
The complaint filed by Jayakumar Hiremath and N Hanume Gowda stated that Sadananda Gowda, Yelahanka MLA S R Vishwanath, the then Bengaluru Urban deputy commissioner M K Aiyappa and tahsildar Venkatesh were responsible for granting of land to the Mythic Society.
The complaint stated that Vishwanath had written a letter, on March 28, 2011, to the then deputy commissioner (Urban) requesting him to allot 10 acres of land on survey number 79 at Avalahalli village in Yelahanka hobli to Mythic Society.
On April 5, 2011, tahsildar submitted the report to the DC and three days later DC wrote to the government.
‘Not to private parties’
The complainants stated that gomala land cannot be granted to individuals or private institutions.
“Despite adverse comments made by the officials in the Revenue department, the then chief minister placed it before the Cabinet. On January 17, 2012, the land was allotted to the society,'' the complaint alleged. The complaint has been lodged with the Lokayukta SP Sonia Narang.
