Police rescue a girl from Mumbai brothel

The 19-year-old girl and her neighbour of the same age of  Shirangala village near Kushalnagar, who worked as labourers, were taken to Bangalore by one Kumar on October 11, 2009 promising them better job. However, he sold the girls to a  brothel in Mumbai and fled, police said.

Based on a missing complaint filed by the girl's parents, police traced the girl to the brothel. However, the other girl still remain to be traced.

Investigation is on into the flesh trade that flourished in the district and also hunt for the culprits engaged in it,police added.
