Prez’s awards for Kannada scholars

President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday announced the award of Certification of Honour to Karnataka’s scholar M Chidananda Murthy for his contribution to Kannada literature. Murthy was selected for the award for the year 2018.
Togere Venkatasubba Shastry Venkatachala Sastry from Karnataka was selected for the Certification of Honour award for the year 2017 for his contribution to Kannada.
The President selected historian Prof S Shettar for the award of Certification of Honour of the year 2016 for his contribution to Kannada.
The President also selected Manjunatha from Karnataka with Maharshi Badrayan Vyas Samman award of the year 2016 for his contribution to Kannada, said a statement from the HRD Ministry.
