School Development and Monitoring Committee (SDMC) members and parents staged a protest in front of the BEO’s office against the suspension of Government Primary School headmaster A E Ashok in connection with the supply of adulterated milk under Ksheera Bhagya scheme.

The protesters demanded to revoke suspension order. “The school is facing acute shortage of teachers. Students from poor background study in the school. The BEO should submit a factual report to the DDPI to revoke the suspension order,” they urged.

The schoolchildren were supplied with urea mixed milk on September 15. A case was registered in connection with the incident at Hariharapura Police Station. Based on a report from the BEO, DDPI suspended headmaster Ashok.
