KPCC General Secretary and Belagavi district in-charge P V Mohan, alleged that 'money made by BJP in the Rafale deal', was being used to poach Congress MLAs via its ‘Operation Lotus’ in Karnataka.

He urged the Congress-JD(S) coalition government, to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT), to investigate poaching of coalition MLAs by BJP.

Mohan alleged before reporters in Belagavi on Friday, that there was 'large scale misappropriation in the Rafale deal' by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government in the Centre.

"Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) was replaced by a newly incorporated company belonging to Anil Ambani. Money collected through the deal is being used to poach Congress MLAs in the state and topple the coalition government, " Mohan alleged. He alleged that BJP could have amassed Rs 60,000 crore in the 'Rafale scam'.

"Misappropriation in the Rafale deal is sufficient to oust the Modi government in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections," he added.
